Nose: Dark chocolate, blackcurrants, muscovado sugar, cherries and earthy pine. Hints of sweet vanilla, spicy cloves and blueberries.

Palate: Pepper sauce steak with the tang of crispy seaweed. Espresso, blackcurrants, blueberries and cherries and bitter almonds. Star anise and hickory, chalky effervescent violets.

Ardbeg Corryvreckan takes its name from the famous whirlpool that lies to the north of Islay. Swirling aromas and torrents of deep, peaty, peppery taste lurk beneath the balanced dram. Awarded The World’s Best Single Malt in 2010 by the World Whiskies Awards.
